How to Play Breakout on BitzGaming
By BitzGaming Editorial · Updated 12 September 2026
Paddle, ball, three lives, +10 per brick. Clear the wall to finish. Keyboard, pointer, or drag.
This is BitzGaming’s brick-breaker: one paddle, one ball, one wall. It is an original implementation of a classic mechanic, not an official Atari product.
Play Breakout now. This note describes the BitzGaming board — not a generic version of the genre.
How Breakout works here
- You start with three lives. Missing the ball costs one.
- Each brick is +10. Clearing every brick ends the round as a win.
- The paddle follows the pointer, arrow keys, or A/D. On a phone, drag under the table.
- Where the ball hits the paddle changes the rebound angle — edges send steeper shots.
How to play Breakout
- Open Breakout. Keep the ball above the paddle.
- Chip a lane through the wall so the ball can bounce behind the bricks.
- If you drop it, you respawn until lives hit zero.
Strategy that matches this board
- Do not hold the paddle dead-centre. Small movements aim the next bounce.
- A high, shallow bounce clears rows; a steep edge shot digs a tunnel.
- When two bricks remain, slow the paddle and wait — frantic swipes miss.

Questions about this implementation
- Are there multiple levels?
- This version is one wall per run. Clearing it is the finish.
