How Higher or Lower Picks the Next Number
By BitzGaming Editorial · Updated 12 September 2026
Numbers stay between 1 and 99. The next value is the current one ± 1–12. +100 / −25. Ties do not occur.
Higher or Lower is a 15-second guess. The next number is generated from the current one, not from an independent draw of the whole range.
Play Higher or Lower now. This note describes the BitzGaming board — not a generic version of the genre.
How Higher or Lower works here
- A run lasts 15 seconds.
- The next number is current ± a random delta of 1 to 12, then clamped to 1–99. It is never equal to the current number, so there is no tie to resolve.
- Correct: +100 and the streak grows. Wrong: −25 and the streak resets.
- After each guess the upcoming number becomes the new current number.
How to play Higher or Lower
- Open Higher or Lower and start.
- Decide Higher or Lower. The next value appears at once.
- Keep guessing until the clock ends.
Strategy that matches this board
- Near 1, Higher is more likely because of the clamp and the +delta. Near 99, Lower is more likely.
- In the middle (roughly 20–80) the ±1–12 step is almost symmetric. Treat it as a coin flip and play fast.
- There is no card-counting. Each delta is fresh.

Questions about this implementation
- What if the next number is equal?
- The generator always uses a delta of at least 1, so equality does not happen.
