How Quick Maths Scores 15 Seconds

By BitzGaming Editorial · Updated 12 September 2026

+100 correct, −25 wrong, streak bonuses, optional time bonuses. Four answers; keys 1–4.

Quick Maths is a 15-second arithmetic sprint built for this site. The numbers below come from the game engine.

Play Quick Maths now. This note describes the BitzGaming board — not a generic version of the genre.

How Quick Maths works here

  • The clock starts at 15 seconds when you tap Start.
  • A correct answer is +100. A wrong answer is −25 (score cannot usefully go wild — play for net points).
  • Streaks add bonus points (streak step 5, bonus base 50 in the engine).
  • Periodic time bonuses can add seconds, capped by the engine’s max bonus time.
  • Operations are add, subtract, multiply, and divide. Four answers; one is correct.
  • Keyboard keys 1–4 map to the four buttons.

How to play Quick Maths

  • Open Quick Maths. Tap Start 15 seconds.
  • Solve the centre sum. Tap the correct tile immediately.
  • Ignore a miss and take the next question — the clock does not pause.

Strategy that matches this board

  • Scan the operator first. Division and multiplication decide the magnitude.
  • Eliminate two impossible answers, then tap. Perfect arithmetic is slower than a clean 80%.
  • Do not rebuild the whole sum after a miss. The next question is already up.

Personal best

Best score, best correct count, and best streak are stored locally (separate keys plus the site best-score key).

Same fifteen seconds, different brain: Play Odd One Out or Play Higher or Lower.

Questions about this implementation

Do wrong answers end the run?
No. They subtract points. The clock ending the run.
